“The Process of Forgetting”

‘Memory is the recognition
that we forget the things
we wish to remember’

These images have strong visual reference to our past. They are multi layered by their physical application of collaged images overlapping.

Also in their content, on the one hand personal memories of the artist, on the other hand they ask fundamental questions about forgetting and remembering.

Forgetting is a conceptual process of wishing to remember and is embedded in our history.

Memory provides context for our lives and ancestral memory confirms our collective unconscious and is constantly reinventing itself.
