“Outside the Fold”
Marg is exploring the limits and conventions of our traditional view of landscape, and new ways of presenting the ordinary.
Our perceptions have been fundamentally affected by cultural expectations, and in the popular mind the photograph serves as a surrogate slice of reality, but the photo of that subject is highly unstable.
In this series, she is discovering the construction of new spaces and shapes within the photographic image.
Outside the Fold was part of a group show at the Art Bungalow in Kerikeri and ran from 18th September to 2nd October 2004.
